We’ve been bringing our authentic, home-made takes on classic Thai cuisine to festivals, events, weddings, parties and corporate functions all over the South East and beyond since 2014, from our base in Brighton on the south coast. As featured in the Lonely Planet’s ‘Around the World in 80 Food Trucks’, our unmissable vintage Citroen H van is a real showstopper. It’s our food that is the real centrepiece though, and the focus of everything we do. Come find out for yourself.
We make almost everything by hand from scratch, including all our curry pastes and sauces, both using authentic recipes and by inventing our own creations. Our most popular dishes are always the classics – pad Thai noodles, the various Thai curries – but we also love to flex our culinary muscles and create lesser-known but equally delicious Thai dishes. We also turn our woks to other Asian cuisine from time to time, including Malaysian, Vietnamese, Sri Lankan, Indian and Japanese dishes. Almost everything we cook is dairy and gluten-free, and we can offer a full range of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
‘Friday Thaiday’ Takeaway menu
During our quieter months, across the late autumn to the early spring, we run a pop-up Friday night takeaway from our base in Saltdean, just outside Brighton.
Each week we rotate the dishes, offering three or four starter and main options, and ask customers to place orders by Thursday night. We then either prepare the food for a specified collection time or deliver it within Saltdean, on the Friday night. Here’s our latest menu.
Festivals/events – We’ve been cooking for the masses at the biggest and best events in the UK for the last few years, including Glastonbury Festival, WOMAD Festival and the Silverstone British F1 Grand Prix, as well as, closer to home, Sussex’s own Goodwood Festival of Speed and Revival, Into the Wild Festival and Elderflower Fields Festival. We also love supporting smaller events across Sussex and the South East, from food festivals to community events, sporting occasions to fireworks displays, and much more.
